Take Home Native Plants

Thank you, Hancock Wood Electric Cooperative, Operation Round-Up Community Trust Fund

Ohio was once all native plants!

A “Homegrown Habitat” starts with establishing native plants back into the landscape. This event helps get you started.

All registered participants will be given a small native plant to take home to plant in their yard.

Thanks to cooperative efforts of the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership (BRWP) and Hancock County Naturalists, Hancock Wood Electric Cooperative has granted funds from their Operation Round-Up Program (Operation Round Up - HWE Community Trust Fund | Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative, Inc.) to provide native plants from North West Ohio nurseries.

To show the sustainability of this activity, plantings will be recorded by each participant receiving plants by pre-paid return mail, indicating species and locations, to be tracked by the University of Findlay and BRWP, and mapped of their distribution around Northwest Ohio.
